I’m doing a price check.
45 bones for three gallons at academy.
Any better deals out there.

Yep, for sure. Just got back from Academy. They’ve got plenty of them. Right up front, where you walk in the door. Jimmy

I quit frying turkeys when CharBroil brought out the Big Easy. I always hated dealing with the oil and the risk it presents. Plus, the cleanup and disposal is a PITA. An the price of that turkey goes up a bunch when the oil is factored in. The BE uses just a bit of propane.

I used CharBroil Big Easy last year primarily due to the cost of the oil. Will never go back to fried. Cheaper to use, easier cleanup and does a very good job cooking turkey. Never used it for anything else.

Big easy is great for that last minute backup plan.

It’s probably been five years since I fried one. Been using the big easy but I’m frying one this year. My wife is from LA. It’s how they cook them. Over the years, I’ve had fried turkey 3 times. I did not like the taste, all three times. Cook it any way you want. No fried for me. YMMV Jimmy
