4.does that area get a lot of rain in sept oct??Or is it like az rain few and far between??
5.Any places near del rio or on the way down for some good texas bbQ??

Any time is a good time at Amistad.

The weather has been fickle here (as with most of Texas) this year, so who knows what September through November will bring. Normally any fall month would be good. Rainfall here is USUALLY scarce. Temps in the 90's and low dewpoints. But it is raining as I type this, so who knows?

Here's a link to what's "normal":

If I had limited time, I'd make it a point to visit Angler's Lodge for some breakfast and talk to the other fishermen there. They'll put you on fish. They also have a tackle shop that has stuff proven to work here. Give Amistad Man here on the forum a shout, he's a local guide and a great guy.

Numbers wise, I've heard guys say they have 100 fish days. I've never done that, but I know that J.C.(Amistad Man)has.

Best Texas BBQ here is right at the lake. Bodacious BBQ is ajacent to American Campground on 90 West. There are others in town, but Trey and Dina's is the best.

If you're lucky enough to live by the lake...you're lucky enough
