Howdy! I am in the process of tearing out my old carpet on my 17ft aluminum boat and installing Hydro Turf. I wanted to share my experiences with the installation. I have never done this before so I don't really know what I am doing lol. I plan to post pictures etc. along the way here. My project is sponsored by Hydro Turf. I am using Xylol and Klean Strip Premium Stripper. I will be using Acetone for the final wipe before Hydro Turf.

Alright! I have started painting around the hatches and the Gun-nell. I am using white because that's what my boat color is and it should look good with my light grey Hydro-Turf.

I am finished with the project and it turned out great!

Thanks! I’m gonna reach out to them and see if they can make me a precut(finished edge) for the cockpit area. My old carpet is a perfect fit, I think I can remove it and trace it to a pattern.
