I use 20% cattle cubes for cats and carp.

Agree - 20% protein larger - 3/4" diameter work well. Can just toss them in a spot as long as not a lot of current, or can put in a laundry net or can/bucket with holes, to make them last longer. Can get cheap laundry nets at Dollar stores.
The 12% tend to float.

20% protein cubes for me also. A higher protein % will increase the interest in the chum, but I don’t believe it is enough to offset the increased cost.

20 in summer 12 in the winter Why the difference in winter Cubes don’t dissolve as fast in cold water. 12% last a very short time in high water temps. Cooler water temps they last long enough to do the job.
