iKon Boats introduced its L2 Livewell System back in March 2023 and during that time sent letters to all bass boat manufacturers letting them know the technology is available at fair rates. In my opinion the L2 livewell is by far the best solution to deal with the delayed fish mortality rates that currently exist. I see my home lake (Fort Loudoun Lake) have serious issues with quality of bass and I think this is a great step when it comes to fish conservation. To my point look at the fish weights from the Classic in 2022.

Did you put one in your boat yet?

No, I do not fish tournaments out of my boat. I fish opens and Toyota Series as a co. For recreational use, I use my grandfathers boat which is an 87' 1987 Bass Master 160 Sv Bass Pro with a 115 Mariner. I've changed out a livewell system before in another boat but it was daunting. My next bass boat will be an iKon though.

Also, I will note that L2 livewell was made available to boat manufacturers, not sure if its available for the used boat market or not.

What is different about it?

Its a completely autonomous livewell system that was developed with Norm Latona of Southeast Pond Management, Jacob Wheeler, and a few other pro's to contend with the delayed mortality of fish. Its controlled with a single on off button or a digital LCD screen. Once set up, you push one button and it offers auto fill, auto mantain and fill, auto circulate, auto oxygenation and my two favorite features nobody else offers at the moment auto inject fish additve (G-juice or whatever your favorite brand is) and water temperature management. The livewell also fills to the lid so there is no air in the livewell. This prevents gas and fish from banging around in the livewell.
