Just go to a store that boils crawfish, they come in about 40lb sacks and are alive when they put them in the boiling water.
Buy a pound just like they were boiled.
Used to boil crawfish when I was in high school for a grocery store, about 160lbs a night.

Tie bacon in the middle of a green tumbleweed, tie string to it. Throw it in the water and wait. Drag it out away from the bank and watch the mud bugs fall out.

crappie basket with some bacon or fish etc. hanging in it. wire the lid so it is barely open, set under a dock right off bottom.
