Helped Clay run a group trip the other day with 2 other guides on a windy Lake Palestine. I haven’t been there in over a month but I had a good idea where they would be and I was right but there was no way we could fish it! Tried a few spots on the main lake early and it was too windy. Fished some brush in coves out of the wind and caught some fish and finally ended up on some deeper timber out of the wind once it laid down some and they did most the damage there with 1/4oz slab syndicate jigs in bad Shad and ginger truce! The 11’ Jenkos put them in the boat with ease. My guys finished with 40 and you could barely close the cooler. They had some hammers for sure. I’ve got some weekdays left in Nov and Dec 2nd is my first weekend date. If you want to fill the freezer now is the time to do it!! Fork and Palestine are fishing great and I’ll be on Sandlin and LOP in the coming weeks!

That's awesome! Congrats to your group. I fished out there Saturday and the fish were not on their usual spots. Found them in deeper water in the trees and in some new structure I came across. It was tough day though. Kept 14 and several in the 2lb range.

That wind on Palestine sure makes it tough in open water!

Thanks y’all!! I’ve had several cancellations this month so I have some weekdays in early to mid November left and late month and early Dec left. I have one weekend date left. Sat Dec 2nd. If the wind holds out winter fishing is awesome!
