Not intentional specifically with the Rangers in the lead, and deep in the game. Garcia should have just went to first base, but look how this drama ended. As for Baker, he did what every coach, leader, or parent should do. He defended Abreu because he did nothing wrong and Abreu nor the Astros were never warned. In fact, the Rangers have been throwing at heads during this series and they have not been warned.

I like the fact that the Astros are being hated. This supports the fact that this team is good and haters will always hate (never be happy). Even before their first WS, you would see "orange" and hear "Let's go Astros" while they traveled. The MLB would rather see teams like the Dodgers and NYY in the WS, but it's making them unhappy to see a great organizations like the Astros be liked.

I'm proud to be from Texas, and I hope it's a Texas team that wins the WS.

LET'S GO ASTROS!!!!

Garcia is an emotional guy. The ALCS is not the place to lose your cool. I don’t think it was intentional and even if it was Garcia should have checked himself and realized the situation and bat flipped walked to first again just like he just hit a home run. As it was he seemed to energized Houston enough to get the win.

Hopefully Bochy had a similar conversation with him

I don't know if it was intentional or not and doubt anyone else does except maybe the pitcher himself. Not sure how they can suspend players without knowing for sure. Anyway, it proved to be a dumb move by Garcia. I am not sure Abreau would have pitched in the next two games anyway.

The pitcher was looking at Garcia when he threw the ball, not the catcher. That’s why he reacted like he did. 100% intentional.

I kinda feel that way as well. Too much in my opinion

Was not intentional but it should have been. Garcia acted like a punk, we will give him a break seeing how he got to watch Altuve round the bases for the win without acting like a [censored].

To be clear, imho, Garcia reaction to the hr was over the top. I’m old school, you’re gonna get beaned when you do that

What about Le Clerc having to sit an extra 20 minutes and getting cold while the umps figure it out? Should he have been allowed extra time to re-warm up?

That’s the gamesmanship here, no doubt

If ya all believe it was intentional then we should Rangers retaliation tonight, right?

Ain't gonna happen because the game is too important. Same thing the other night. To much was on the line at the time of the incident to bean him on purpose.

I’m not saying this because I’m an Astro fan. That show boat home run strut was asking for it. It’s baseball and that kind of [censored] will get a guy dusted back every time.

Nolen Ryan night not have thumped him but would have smoked one right under his chin. Rodger Clements would have tested his batting helmet…..thumped him right up side the head.

It’s just baseball.

Some could even say that home run strut cost the Rangers the game.

Thanks, Billy

Interesting observation. Not sure how you could see what he was looking at. Your TV must be exceptional.

Personally I just don’t like excessive celebrating in any sport. The celebrating in the NFL has gotten way past ridiculous.

I’ll say this. Game 5 ALCS….if I missed a pitch THAT BADLY, I would say it was intentional. I wouldn’t want someone to think I sucked that badly.

Anyone who thinks that was not 1000% on purpose is tripping. Of course it was.

As far as the two game suspension I say good!

Remember when Joe Kelly got 3 games for NOT hitting Correrra and throwing at a few other trash-tros but not hitting any of them?

Still the best exchange ever... Kelly throws at Bregman, misses him. Walks him. Throws at Bergman's ribs a few times while he is over on first... you know. Keeping him on his toes. Maybe trying to hit him in the ribs? Who knows. Sure had him thinking he was going to get hit.

Someone from the Trash-stros bench yells at Kelly as he walks around the mound (this is pre pitch clock and no fans in the building), "Get on the mound and pitch you little fu***er"

Kelly throws at Corerra and spills him. Comes back and strikes him out because he (Corerra) is pretty sure he is going to hit in the head so he is not really into the AB at that point... if I thought 101mph fastball might very well be coming at my head or ribs, TBH I would be out of that AB as well.

Strike three-

Kelly- That sh** is easy. That sh** is fu**ing easy."

Corerra- Oh yeah!? Next time throw your fastball bi***"

Kelly- "What? Oh yeah. I'll throw my fastball right down the middle so you can you hit it. Bi*** shut the f*** up and sit down"

Then the benches clear and Corerra explains to Kelly that if he had hit a homerun, he would have been running the bases? IDK. That guy is not normal. But still..

#Never Forget

But yeah if Kelly got 3 games for NOT hitting someone... This two games is fair, or at least somewhat consistent.
