Well hopefully the Game Warden will actually show up before they leave. I probably would have done a 30 round mag dump next to that pond to get their attention.

They actually trespassed twice by parking directly in front of a No Trespassing sign and then crossed a fence to get to our place.

Gives off Deliverance vibes.

And the sign said:

"Trespassers will be SHOT
we'll call LEOs tomorrow"

Fair warning they chose to ignore.

You might have better luck getting someone out there with the Sherrif than the GW. Especially if you say your packing heat.

Call the sheriff, game wardens aren’t reliable in this situation

Unless that is a private road, it looks like they are parked on an easement and fishing navigatable water.

note on the glass, you are trespassing on private land, the next time I see your truck parked on our land it will be towed at your expense and the sheriff called with your tag #.

that is all you can do legally sorry to say, now if they were armed then it becomes felony trespass and the sheriff should respond quick, gw too probably when sheriff calls him.

I deal with this a lot out here this time of yr. and what I posted is basically what our gw told me I could do.

personally, I would have put the ar on one of them and told them to get out and walk back to the truck and impound the boats/gear. they can have them back when they pay up whatever you want to charge. or I would have shot out the tires on the truck and waited, that would be more fun. grin

I would be careful about shooting anybody's tires out. Here at the lake there was a guy on a tractor on another guys property, The guy that owned the land called the S.O. and then continued to have words with the guy on the tractor. It became heated and the land owner shot out the tractors front tire. When the LEO showed up the land owned got arrested for Deadly conduct. The tractor guy got a ticket for Trespassing with a promise to appear. Just depends on the LEO I guess.

I will admit.
As kids we used to trespass on whoever’s land had a pond on it.
Crossed many fence lines as well.
Can’t ever remember the owners saying anything to us.
We picked up our trash and catfish when we left.
Those were the days.

If it’s a county road, the second you leave the road, it’s trespassing. There’s not always an easement, my family has to deal with the same thing. County road with a creek that crosses it, the second you leave the road, you’re on private land. Not much water is navigable either.

Highly unlikely the easement ends at the edge of the gravel.
