Randy released more clickbait about FFS saying that BASS has decided to start studying the effects of FFS. I can't find anything online about this. Anyone have a link to the BASS article?

It's what's wrong with sport, old legacy guys hanging around selling baits..... they just need a senior tour and stfu. Some should have went and sold insurance or something a long time ago.

They are looking into it but not making any knee jerk reactions just yet. I think they would prefer the state agencies to decide if some sort of restriction on using this new tech, who knows what the future brings they have introduced laws banning use of new technology in hunting (drones, remote operated firearms, some states even cellular cameras), but not aware of anything with recreational fishing, commercial fishing yes.

Randy for sure needs to move on ,but he is making money off FFS with all of his hate for it . Surprised the inner democrat in him has suggested some sort of equivalent to carbon credits for the right to use FFS on pro tours.

Probably with crappie first Don’t think it will happen with bass for the ffs reason but as a crappie fisherman too I personally only keep 12-15 anyway and would love to see the limit for crappie dropped to 15

What's dumber, believing FFS is going to get banned on a pro tour OR watching a Randy video?

I think states would be the most likely to limit or outlaw FFS. Usually when fishing drops and surveys indicate fish population has been reduced they cut limits. They have also controlled things such as the A-Rig.
FFS has the potential to wreak havoc on the crappie population, That’s what might start state rules.

I doubt they'll do anything; and because this is a catch and release sport and Lowrance, Humminbird, and Garmin being major backers of the sport I don't really see it effecting the LMB population enough to justify what RB is pushing. Crappie yes. I also watched some You Tube content from Andrew Upshaw where he spoke about this. The short version: He fishes Elite series and sees firsthand the results of FFS. Most; if not all, of the field has FFS but still the majority of them get clobbered. I don't really have an opinion one way or the other and will hold my judgement until I install it on my rig and use it for a while. I do wish RB would install it on his rig and use it a while and then form an opinion.

FFS has the potential to wreak havoc on the crappie population, That’s what might start state rules. Already happened in La, D'arbonne lake just north of Ruston has a, no more than 7 crappie over 12" may be kept. Think it went into effect last November.
