Does anyone know somebody who does custom grips, hopefully to the point where I could have a unit crest or division emblem carved into the grips? I know it's a long shot but figured I'd ask here..

Might see what these guys have and ask if they know anyone that might do a custom... I have made a few custom grips from G10 and then cut the design in them, I even did one set for a guy that was a brand that I made and burned into his grips. Anymore with the cnc mills out there you can get just about anything. Start out here and then go from there might get you in the direction your wanting. There currently over 400 pages of grips on here. navy grips/1911

You might try attending one of the Premier Gun Shows. It's in Fort Worth today and that's their biggest show. They will also be in Mesquite Sep 9 & 10. I have seen people there that do custom grips so maybe you could find someone.
