I have had many of great conversations with Lane over the years. I am absolutely stunned and deeply saddened. I hope Lane is hanging with my Dad, Matthew Carroll, and all the others we have lost too soon. Heaven just gained an angel and a true Texas Fishing Legend today. Prayers to his family. Agree, Hogon…Laner, Dutch, and Jiggum literally personified the best of fishermen, with quality of character, integrity, honesty, and goodwill towards others. All of them were exceptional fishermen. Sad day for us, great day for heaven. I have a heavy heart for his family, they lost him way too early.
Laner, I always enjoyed our lengthy visits, our fishing trips, our phone calls, our custom bait color discussions, and our friendship more generally. You were truly a breath of fresh air for our sport, for TCU, for your fellow man, and for the guide profession. Needless to say, you always told a fantastic story, and kept folks interested in fishing. I will miss our visiting time. Serve the Lord well, and you shall receive everlasting life. You deserve it for the good you did here on earth!

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !
