do any of you who have had it have a sensitivity to light?

bright light has always bugged my eyes but now even the reflection off the gravel out front seems too bright.

is this just part of it? not really complaining since I have good sunglasses, more curious.

I wasn't that sensitive to light but you are more sensitive. It diminishes over time.

Your eyes adjusted to seeing life through cloudy yellowish lenses, they now have clear light. Yours rods need time to adjust.

Absolutely more sensitive to sunlight. I keep a cheap pair of sunglasses near the garage door for when I go outside, even for a minute

Yes…what I notice is the roadside yellow info signs are blinding at night.

Dry eyes…yep, especially after running around on the lake.

I had my cataract surgery 9 years ago, and for a while I was very sensitive to the light, but it slowly got better, but I still almost never go outside without my Costas.

"Great" news. I'm looking forward to the surgery in the next few years and bad as my eyes are right now sunlight bothers them. Except for throwing something in the trash wagon just outside the side door I don't ever go outdoors in sunlight without sunglasses.

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

If you're old enough for Medicare to be paying for your surgery, there is a scale they have, and your ophthalmologist has to grade you. When you hit a certain number then you can have Medicare pay (less deductibles). My guy seemed to be interested on driving at night and seeing lots of glare from oncoming lights, so I told him it was a big problem and boom, I got approved.
