3 10 rnd mags of .380 frag hollow point/glock 42 with extras.

off and on the glock 23 .40 with 15 rnd/+ 2 mags, gets heavy for all day. carry it on property mainly.

.40 is pretty good pig round! lol

speer gold dot in both for carry, federal fmj for pigs/on property.

I guess I should specify. 380 and 9mm. Not for hunting.

.380 the speer is as good as it gets unless you get custom loads.

good aim is more important than what slug is gonna hit them (you hope).

2-3 in center mass and either is lethal. if you need 4 I hope you wore your keds.

Love my .380. Bersa thunder. Standard carry weapon for the argentinean air force. Small, light and lethal.

haven't shot a bersa but see a lot of folks praising them. I like my 42/.380 for how I use it (goes on property sometimes, mud is no problem lol).

Walther PPK .380 is my pocket pistol. Hollow points. Sweet little pistol with a big bark.

Don’t over think the ammo. Get an off the shelf hollow point and head to the range. What you really need to concentrate on is whether the ammo feeds reliably in your gun. Especially the smaller calibers can be finicky with some ammo types ( my experience anyway).

All the testing and discussions of different ammo types and their penetration and expansion become pretty trivial if you are shooting at live targets.
