You could pull a big fish off of your spot, win $1000….and have it potentially cost you $40,000 or more. I think the “should nots” would prevail.

Will they still go to the Red for the championship?

Just pick 3 that you like.

I really like that even if you fish all 6 you finish up in May. Good for the anglers and the fish. The Friday practice is a good addition as well.

I fully understand why Fork is still on the schedule. I love Fork I just hate fishing tournaments out there. I'd rather throw a Ned rig than fish Roberts though. grin

I like it. Ray Roberts in June was a beating. Maybe May will be better. Fork is a terrible tournament lake, but for some reason people still like to fish it.

I don’t hate it
They completely did away with the south and most of the central
I guess the north is driving this thing. They really want to put tto out of business. Now they have a practice day and they are guaranteeing a lake for the championship. Entry fees are more, they are paying less spots than before and top 5 seems to be more money.
I don’t like that 9th place gets same as 20th place

9th through 20th has always been similar in payout. You either reward those at the top or spread it out so much that the payout gets watered down. They are trying to do what's best for the angler. The days of paying $300 entry for $600 check are over hopefully.

I don't think they are guaranteeing a lake for the championship. I read that as 150K payout guaranteed. Lake-TBA

Were the prize boats valued at more than $25K in 2006?

Heard rumors they were getting rid of the South Division. No water and not great participation. Looks like they have lost some of us.

I wager they'll gain. They're catering to East and North-Central where the majority of their turnout has been. If nothing else, it opens up a whole lot of lakes for the championship.

I expected they'd make changes and personally I think it is a good thing.

We'll see what the turn-out picture is this year, but they have the chance to really increase with the practice day and fish 3/win 1 and you're in for the championship.
