I just bought a new small boat. It is coming with a Helix 7 CHIRP SI GPS 4 with cover installed. My question is if this is one of the Hummingbird Mega units that has the real clear Side Imaging?

I'm sure there are lots of opinions out there. I have a Helix 7 CHIRP SI GPS 3, I think it's side imaging is great. Of course water conditions and settings can be everything.

Thanks for the reply. A lot of searching revealed this was not a Mega unit and I did not want a outdated unit on a new boat. I bought a Helix 8 MSI+ G4N. Not real sure what the + means but I think it is the latest by Hummingbird.

I think the + means more SI range (to 200' both sides) and more detail. It is the latest in the Helix series.
