He is more toxic than a plutonium dumpster fire. In saying that I'm certain that he would be a valuable piece to a rotation as needy as the Rangers and probably could be had for pennies on the dollar.

It's very interesting. He was dealt a pretty big suspension by MLB & had to go to Japan to continue playing. I don’t click on links, he clearly has bad judgement.
How is he pitching in Japan? 19 g 10-4 record 2.76 ERA 130 strike outs 31 walks

Big time media circus distraction could offset most positives.
I’m not a definite “no” though as Jerry couldn’t stand attention being drawn away from the Cowboys and would create something as stimulating to take eyeballs and ears off the Rangers.

If he’s been cleared then go for it. Sounds like to me some money hungry whore was trying to screw him over and in the process drug him through the mud. I don’t know the details of the story, just what I read in the article.

I don't know if he's toxic in a clubhouse. I do know that Chris Young & the front office staff have talked in depth about "the kind of guy" they like. I don't know if Bauer fit's into the culture the Rangers are building. It goes beyond the field. I was a little surprised they traded for Chapman. He's served a 30 game suspension in 2016 for "use of a firearm and the impact of that behavior on his partner". He also skipped a workout with the Yankees late last year & was kept off the postseason roster.

Y'all complain about the Cowboys and their bad boys. And Bauer is MUCH more toxic anybody the Cowboys signed. JMO.
