Lol, I have always had similar thoughts on that same subject. I just thought the bad guys weren’t very good at hide and seek.

And it still does...
Like High Noon. The bad guys ride into town and the chickensheet townspeople hide, cower and wait for the sheriff or some masked hero to ride in and save them. I know it's just a movie or TV show but the too-damm-often-used scenario drives me nutso. Transposing the scenario to real life, I just can't see the townsfolk not standing up for themselves and appropriately applying several layers of buckshot into the problem to fix it. Me, if I was there back then, I wouldn't have the slightest compunction against blasting loads of 00 into the bad guys' backs. It's still happening today. "Asylum seekers", many of whom are military age men, allow cartels and other criminals to destroy their home countries. Do they stay and fight, to establish a safe place for themselves and their families? No, they run to the U.S. And yet we are told they are hardworking, industrious, and will be a tremendous asset to America, a country whose citizens fought the British Empire to secure their own freedom. Take it to the Bunker. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2023/09/full-1606-199152-vmnbm_nm_b.jpg)

It's the movies. You didn't do well in the Frontier if you weren't good with a firearm.

Ask the James-Younger gang how that worked out for them in Northfield Minnesota. Or the Daltons in Coffeyville KS. Or Hedley Lamarr in Rock Ridge... LOL, for sure.

The part that bothers me is how they get hit on the head and are instantly knocked out. Hell Josh Randall would get knocked out by a frying pan almost every episode of wanted dead or alive.

I'm more bothered by the fact they just carry a bedroll on the back of their saddle and their saddle bags are flat, then they make camp and out of nowhere comes a coffee pot. Where were they carrying it?

You guys are trying to apply logic to the Hollywood shoot 'em ups.

I've looked and looked for the mountains and desert outside of Dodge City, Kansas from Gunsmoke.

Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

X-Files movie scene just outside of Downtown Dallas had a tall mountain range in the background. Very confusing.
