What have you been trying? Where at?

I have had mixed results bank fishing for cats there.

You fishing for size or quantity? I prefer fishing for carp from the bank or casting a net for shad then throwing those out for bait. Cut carp works really good for the bigger blues and channels.

In the past few weeks I've been to a few spots around Oak Grove, McPherson Slough, and Murrell. Tried fresh shrimp, garlic chicken breast, punch bait, and night crawlers. Several weeks ago I caught a couple of eater size channel cats but since then, nada.

I'd certainly love to catch a big whopper or two but I'd really just like to catch some decent eaters. I got a cast net recently but haven't spent the time to figure it out yet. I need to do that.

Lots of different ways to toss a cast net, depending on size. Took me hours on youtube and more hours on the lake to get my 8 footer to do what I wanted it to do.
