My grandmother was an awesome quilter maker! I still have a few. 1 is a light quilt that is perfect for summertime sleeping. The other is heavier and perfect for the winter. They still great even after all these years. She also crocheted a lot of stuff but I didn’t care for that stuff too much.

Mom crocheted to keep her "hands busy" and she provided the local 'old folks' home well stocked for the fall and winter seasons.
I, as an official "old" have two (2) of her quilts for support during the cold winters up here.
May God Bless my Mom Helen for providing me warmth well after her passing on to her great reward.

Grandmama and a couple of my Aunts made quilts. I remember sleeping under the when I was a boy.

Photos of me from 1975-1978 will never surface on the internet. You were crocheted? That's, well that's just weird, man! As far as I know, neither of my grandmothers nor my mom, quilted. They did crochet Afghan blankets, but that's it as far as I know. Oh, wait, Mom and one of my grandmothers also knitted... One of my mentors still quilts.
