Anybody listening to new/newish rock and roll bands? I have been digging Dirty Honey for the past couple years. They have a familiar sound that is influenced by bands like AC/DC, Aerosmith, Zeppelin, and more. Another band that I recently discovered is called The Hellacopters. I felt like I got punched in the face with rock and roll the first time I heard them...good stuff.

The Record Company is also good but not so hard rock, they have a 4th album just out.

Both stations I'm with puts a heavy focus on independent, unsigned bands and artists. Every weeknight at 7 eastern on WXAX we run a two hour segment called Bands You Should Know. It covers most styles of rock and metal.
On WSKY it's called Small Batch. Every weekday at 2-3 eastern Sat/Sun mornings from 8-noon eastern also. . Independent country artists with smaller followings.

Dirty Honey is pretty good.

I’m always looking for new music. I will check these bands out.

Kev and the Kirkpatrick's have a really snazzy Spectrum One commercial.

If it’s newer than about 95….I ain’t listening.

That's your loss. There is a ton a great music out there once you get away from mainstream radio.
