As soon as he saw himself in the lenses of my glasses he started jumping around and showing off his feathers. He then jumped down and came up to within 3 yards of me , stood there staring at me for a minute then ran off to look for lizards [Linked Image]

I have had this happen once before and that time I thought the roadrunner was going to peck the lense on my glasses , it was that close.

Besides me, we have a few around here. They used to come up on the back porch with a lizard or snake in its beak and look in the window. It was kind of like they were showing off what they caught. Pretty cool!

I grew up in the panhandle , they were very common up there. I see one occasionally on my drive to work . There are not a lot here in East Texas.
