We fished Amistad 9-2-23. The bite was slow in the morning, but got better in the evening. We fished along the bluffs and caught lmb, smallies, gasper gou, catfish and lots of sunnies.
















We also caught more lizards

We caught all fish and lizard on JIGLYF jigs and were released to swim and run another day.
We had a great day on the water.

Once we got home everything changed.
Our bosses house was on fire we werent aware of it till we went back out heard an explosion.
We hurried up the hill and found her garage ingulfed in flames.

Thank God no one was home.


It was going to be 5am on Sunday when the flames had finally been "put out"

Brackettville FD left at 5:45am. FD said the house was going to smolder for days. Leo and i hung around till 6:15am . We went back home to shower. After the shower we decided to go back up, (gut feeling). Leo said if it starts up its going to do it in the next hour.
We headed back up and found the laundry room and part of kitchen up in flames. Nightmare all over again.


I called the FD a second time. It took them an hour to get there. While we waited for FD to get there Leo and i ran in the house to take out as many things as we could save. We didnt know if the whole house was going down.


Glad that nightmare is over.

Prayers that no one was injured,..what a day.

Hate to see this. Defiantly puts a damper on fishing. Glad no one was hurt. Prayers up!



Side Note: Was there also another fire earlier this month or late August at the ranch?
