Just saw a woman on the news described as State Park Ambassador.
She was fishing Palo Pinto lake prior to it being open to the public.
She had pictures holding up 2 plus pound crappie.
Supposed to be on this months Great Southwest Now magazine.

Back when the powerplant used the lake water to cool its generator, wintertime fishing in the “hot hole” was phenomenal. Caught numerous 2+ pounders. It is still a good crappie lake in the spring. Right now it is very low.

might have been the old Tucker lake on the new state park in Palo Pinto to open next year
