Then Liberty Safes gave them the code to easily gain access to his safe.

I would love to know more of why this happened ?

Has any sort of explanation been given ?

I know some one who was on the steps of the capitol but did not go in and so far he hasn't been tracked down.

who could help these people ? Is the power of the DOJ/FBI absolute ? Aside from answering to the Office of the President is there no one else constitutionally able to yank on the leash ?

He is being charged with one felony and several misdemeanors.
He is seen on video, identified by the clothing he was wearing, helping to push back police and gain entry into the capital.

The DOJ/FBI do what they have done for a long time. They go after bad guys.
They don't punish, the investigate and bring them to trial if they believe they have proof of it. The perps can get a jury trial.

What did his safe have to do with him being identified by the cloths he was wearing? If he was identified why was a search of the safe done and what were they looking for?

In this case I don't know because I didn't look at the info above, but probably things like recordings, text messages, photos, etc. that could be stored on a memory card. That means they can search any space that could reasonably hold such a card - which for all practical purposes is every square inch of the house.

Also, pretty much all search warrants have an "...and any other evidence..." catch-all clause, even if the above doesn't specifically apply.

Unfortunately, with this DOJ, FBI and all the other 3 letter agencies investigating it under this administration, we will never know.
