I am considering switching from an AGM 31 to a 125 AH Lithium starter battery. I have a 2021 Yamaha SHO 250. Has anyone had any type of issues running that type of battery as their starter?

I have a ‘17 SHO 250 and have been using an Ionic 125a for almost 2 years now. It puts the X2 it replaced to shame.

We sell Monster Marine Lithium and have had great success with them. You can order them from the bassboatwired.com
Monster offers a few options in starting batteries, I personally am running “The Beast” 170a in my Ranger.

I have a fair amount of these in the Skeeters with no issues.

I've been studying this a while because my lead acid batteries are probably getting pretty close to the end of their life span and from what I've seen so far my 200 SHO should work just fine with a Lithium battery. Looking at the TM side of things, the Minn Kota 330D charger I have is supposed to work with them if it is ran in the AGM mode.

We have sold 1000's of the Ionic 125ah and we ask for feedback from our customers on the products we sale. Safe to say no one has had an issue running this battery on todays outboards.

A lot of the problems that you heard of come from the batteries that aren't ment for cranking providing that short burst of power needed for cranking through the bms system.
Give us a call or text if you have any quesitons 210-595-0073 We have some sales currently running on them!

I've only had issues with the bluetooth on the ionics. Got 1 that still has no bluetooth out of 2 50 ah. They've been replaced twice and my 125 ah has been replaced as well....other than that ionic batteries are awesome for my use with my electronics and 150 optimax

I have the same motor. 250 sho. My only regret is that I didn’t buy the 125 AH earlier.
Running 3 12’s plus active target and after a 8 hour day
It still has over 70% so I can go days without charging.

I'd pass on the Ionic chargers. Only a 1-year warranty. Mine lost a bank after 1 year and completely failed by 18 months. The batteries are great. Chargers not so much. When I talked to one of the tech guys at Ionic he didn't seem too impressed with their chargers either.
