Has anyone on here tried the carnivore diet?

I done it for 3+ months last year and actually felt pretty darn good and dropped 20+ pounds. Im kicking around the idea of starting it up again.

Here is a list of the things I would eat...
I cheated the entire time with ketchup and sauces that didnt contain vegetable oil and very little sugar and also sugar free Monster (I know)

Bacon
Eggs
Chicken Wings
Different Cheeses
Pork Skins
hamburgers
Steak
Beef Jerky
Brats
Ribs

Overall, not a bad "diet" to be on and is very hard to over eat.

I did it for 42 days and lost 20 pounds. Felt pretty good.

Not being able to eat tortillas, pico, or ice cream was hard.

I ate about the same meat as you but added smoked meatloaf and sugar free protein shakes.

I’ve been doing low carb for a long time now. Ketchup is probably my biggest indulgence. It works well for me.

If you are going to use ketchup you should try the G. Hughes Sugar Free it is not bad at all. You can get it at Walmart the other upside is you won’t be supporting John Kerry lol. Ketchup like Heinz has a ton of sugar we gave it up years ago.

I do not need to loose weight but wanted to try it anyway as my pal told me it helps him sleep at night and he does not have brain fog during the day. My little brother did keto for 8 years and now does carnivore for a few weeks at a time then back to keto. He looks super fit and his high blood pressure went away and many red flags in his blood work.

Heinz has a sugar free that's pretty good. I use many of the G. Hughes sauces. they're good. Head country now has a line of sugar free BBQ sauce that's good too.

I’ve done adkins and am still on a modified version, I do have some carbs occasionally but not anything like I used to. I was once 307, now 235 and still trying to drop. It can be somewhat expensive to eat healthy but I’m committed to it.

Sunday will be two weeks for me. I haven't had an issue sticking with it so far. It is expensive to eat out is the biggest downside so far. I'm pretty much eating what the OP listed. I've lost just shy of 10lbs and have a ways to go. I started at 245 and want to get closer to 200. I do feel good and seem to have more energy already. It also helps that I'm not drinking like I was. I did have a bourbon last weekend which was good.

Anyone thought to add in a 3 day sardines only fast during this? I know, I know, yuch. Theses little can fishes are packed with good stuff. I am trying to eat a can every other day for lowering glucose.

Check out the sardine fast on the YouTube’s. Enjoy!

Keep looking forward. That’s why windshields are larger than rear view mirrors.

Ever see a carnivore eat in the wild? They always start out with the stomach and intestines, which are filled with partially digested grasses and grains. Just sayin…

It works for me. Low, low carb, high protein. At home it’s easy to stay on it for a few months. Away from home the options are limited. I got tired of about a half dozen options for lunches at work. Meals get expensive and you waste a lot. If you don’t mind eating single course meals you can just fire up the grill.

G. Hughes BBQ sugarless is good. Need to watch the beef jerky, a lot of it has sugar. Grilled a lot of sausage. Grilled shrimp. Breakfast taco with sausage, egg and cheese no tortilla. Tuna fish is good too.

I don’t buy into the “Net Carb” BS. When I am on it I want zero carbs or real close to zero. Check the labels of everything before you buy it Also my wife tired some Keto low carb recipes. Not for me. If I can not have the real thing nothing is better. When I eat the substitute it just makes me think how good the real thing is.

Stay away from any diet soda as well. It can almost kill the diet for some. Drink water.

Usually doctor’s recommendation is you don’t do it for a long time, Reducing carbs after your on it helps. Once your off it control portions.
