Back in the 70’s when I lived in Big Spring my fishing partner and I fished Lake Thomas 5 or 6 times a year. We caught a lot of good fish including a 8lb Walleye
I fish on the edge and stay out of the middle

No, do tell. Is this what all the guide drama is about? I know some people who have been fishing it for years and have always told me how awesome and not crowded it was almost every day.

I looked it up, it’s about 8k acres and is currently -32.5’ low. I can’t imagine what it must look like with the guide clown show running amuck. The traveling clown circus is a black plague.

The Ivie mafia all moved over there. The whole batch of youtube degenerates packed up and left ivie. They areblike gypsies, once they mess up jb thomas they will knock on your door and ask to paint your house or black top your drive.

Remove their bow stop roller. If I recall. Shortly after doing this, they pack all ther stuff and move in.....

Might as well enjoy it while it lasts. It's a little mud hole at this point and it'll dry up before Ivie. When they stocked it after they drained it those fish all grew up together. I don't think they are spawning successfully very much. Buddy says he hasn't caught a fish under 4 yet. Everything is 6-10lbs. All livescope of course. Packed with trash fish, bait, crappie. They got lots to eat

More guide boats than recreational fisherman on the lake.
Young guide kicked it off and posted his 50# stringers on every Facebook Fishing Group there is.
Hard to blame a young man trying to build up his clientele, and he is a really good guy.
He can flat out catch them anywhere.
Wonder what he is thinking now.

Post up some pics and links. I fish over there a couple of times a year. The ramp is a pain if you are by yourself so I don't go often. I have never loaded the boat there, but it seems every fish you catch is a good one. And it also seems everyone fishes the same three spots.
