how much are these reels worth
my friend was fishing the other day and reeled one in, with an ugly stick attached.


sensitive isnt crying after a sad movie, its when you can feel a bass nibble on your jig 20 feet down..

what model # and how much gunk was growing on it
I have seen them from 15 to 200 bucks

a little rusty.
but he could make it look pretty damn new if he tried scrubing it.

I use the Ambassadeur 6000 reels for catfishing and I bought them at WalMart for around 50 bucks. They are great reels, but low end on the price range. I would suggest cleaning it up and keeping it. You will get more out of it that way. Steven

I have two 5000's and two 6500's and they are all great reels. I agree with Steve168, clean it up, oil it, restring it and use it.

I own 5 of them--2 5000, 2 6500, 1 other. I have a reel that is probably 40 years old and works like a champ. I have it cleaned every few years when needed. They last forever.
