Saw the post on the FCL fishing website this weekend, with all the dead fish & wasn't sure what to expect today. There WERE dead fish everywhere...mostly tilapia & small sunfish with some pretty nice bass here & there. This seems to be a regular occurrence on FCL late summer, so not really worried. It should settle down in a month or two. Water temp was 92 in most areas & 106 at the discharge. Fished for bass for 3 hours today & caught 1. confused 3 The rest of the day was good. Got 1 nice catfish, 7 Rios & 97 sunfish. Had pretty good success on Psaltys little micro baits again today, as you can see from the pics. Also caught the catfish on one of those little dudes...It nailed it as soon as it hit the water & the fight was on. There were 2 other boats on the lake today so we had to share...Most of the sunfish were small...in the 4-6 inch range...but a few nice ones are still active. The TFF system won't let me add all my photos, but got a few in there that didn't get an error message...

Congrats Steve and thanks for the update on successes with the micros. I just picked up a mold for 7/8" crickets.
Looking forward to making some up in different re-melt colors.
Yellow and green chartreuse, grape, black with red glitter, gray brown and maybe even pink for "ladyfish".
Any other suggestive colors? hmmm

Thanks Yesenia

Ken...I have best success on your translucent colors. They seem to hit those 2-1 over the solids. Especially the orangish or chartreuseis colors. Have not tried grape, but think that would be goood in a translucent shade. Thanks...

Awesome fish Steve especially the Rio! That has to be a subspecies of Rio or something because those are not like ours. Yours has many spots. What's the biggest Rio come out of FCL?

Leo...Mr. Dewey holds the lake record for Rios on FCL. (Big Surprise) it was .85 llbs & 9.6 inches long. I have never caught any near that big...most of my bigger ones may go 6 or 7 inches long.

great job Steve
those are some beauties. Why aren't the bass biting? Is it just slow this time of year or is it the turnover.

Zane...Not exactly sure about the bass. A low oxygen level issue is my guess, plus it is the worst time of year for those guys...
