 going to austin need help of where to fish

im headed to austin sat. I'm looking to do some bank fishing somewhere if weather alows it. any ideas of where to go? I've never fished austin before so locations and how to get there from 35 would be a huge help.
ps ill be bass fishing mostly.

If it hadn't been raining so much, Town Lake, or Lady Bird Lake, would be great from a kayak, which you can rent at multiple places on the water and around town. You might go to www.austinkayakfishing.com and see if they have any reports. A lot of them fish Town Lake and Lake Austin frequently.

Lake Austin has a lot of good fishing, weeds like mad an easy cast from the bank.
PB's:
Common: 30lbs
Mirror: 14lbs
Buffalo: 56lbs
White Amur:49lbs
Blue Cat: 32lbs
Yellow Cat: 34lbs

Bank access is pretty limited on Lake Austin though. Most is private, and the parks get fished pretty hard I think.
Please correct me if I'm wrong though. There may be more bank access than I am aware of.

the rain has everything messed up down here for bank fishing. im guessing thats why you dont save some gas and fish san marcos or canyon lake?
