My wife is up in my business about buying her a new ride. She likes the Telluride and Sportage. I haven't even really looked into them yet, but have been told the Telluride is only 5k cheaper than Mercedes, any experience with the Kia? Pros/cons.

Several friends have had them, all positive reviews. Girlfriend bought a year-old Sportage last year and loves it. Her best friend has one that she bought new a few years ago; she loves it.

If she doesn't drive a lot, she will be good, their freaking warranty's are 10 years 100,000 miles last I remember. The Telluride does look nice. Contact Monte Coon at Moritz, he will send you to the right person.

Every warranty is a bit misleading

Had a Soul and loved it. Have friends with the Telluride and Sportage, they love them. Sportage did have a questionable crash test on the previous generation, not sure if it's been corrected, so I would check that out.

I wouldn’t want one.
Show her the RAV4, Highlander, or Honda Pilot. They have better resale, so if a lease and/or trouble free ownership are requirements, they fit that bill.
My choice, if it were my spouse, would be a Toyota Grand Highlander. They can be had pretty loaded for mid $50k. 2024.

Check on the insurance before you purchase. Not to long ago insuring a new one was difficult due to ease of theft

Two things. The Kia and as Hyundai have taken care of the ignitions system that made them easy to steal. Second, if you are looking for any brand with all the bells and whistles, you will have a very limited choice. Ford would let me order what I wanted but it was going to take up to 2 months to get. So if you are going to picky like I was on color, options etc. You have to spend time looking at multiple dealerships. I had 4 different manufactures models that I would have bought when the right one was found. If you’re not wanting a particular brands car with all the options that they offer, it will be easier to find a car. Auto chips are still an issue.
