Dakota Lithium advertises factories in USA and China. Dakota used to claim American made and got called out. Now it’s American assembled. They also have pretty lousy customer support reviews

That’s what I thought too. They are all the same junk. There are different grade cells, which makes a big difference in performance and longevity. But yes, all cells are from China.

So how does one find out the ‘grade’ of cells being used in a specific brand?

So how does one find out the ‘grade’ of cells being used in a specific brand? You wont find non "grade A" cells in USA (reputable) owned battery companies.

I've recently put in two Millertech 100ah, 12v batteries for my Force trolling motor. I can't be happier with my choice. And the blue tooth is an added bonus. Can keep track of anything I need to know about the batteries.

Ionics! Google Drewcraft Marine and talk to Andy. He will make sure you get exactly what you need and stands behind these batteries. I ordered two of the 50ah for my trolling motor but realized I needed 100ah because I use them in my kayaks also and they just weren't quite big enough. He worked with me and swapped them for the 100ah. His customer service and the Ionics are top notch. If your a member of bass boat central you also get a good discount. He answers questions and contacts you immediately even if you have problems and that along with the 11 year warranty and great price speaks volumes in itself. Now that being said I also just installed a Li-Time 100ah dedicated for my electronics just to see how it lasts compared to the Ionics. The jury is still out though...lol
