I had a friend that used to make his own frog poppers and we fished them in an old gravel pit from a canoe. We had to use 12lbs tippits made from mono to hold the fish we caught. LOL
You can't catch'em if your hook ain't in the water

Bass on a fly rod is fun. I remember catching about a 2 pounder on one at my father-in-law's place using a popper. It was great. I know you enjoyed it.
