He worked hard to get back to the Elites and has had a really rough year. He had a great day on Champlain yesterday. He was 15th. Hope he keeps it up. Seems like a really good guy that could use a good finish to his year.

Rooting for Matty Wong too, he was a true sportsman and gentlemen with Mosely at Sabine.

He did win a couple FLW but he has never been good at BASS, got cut from the Elites in 2012 and on track to get cut again.

Great guy! Very boom or bust style of fisherman. He’s hard not to cheer for.

Him and his roommate have been terrible this year and won’t last long if they keep it up.

The 50 cut was 35-15. 2# a day less than that got you 74th place. Got to catch 3.5# plus there. 4.5# average is top stringers. Helps to be on a big school with some decent fish and burn through numbers.

This post is only 50% (2 of 4) accurate Fished the Elite Series from 2006 through 2011. Seems like a good guy. You can be a heck of a stick and not make the top 50% in the Elites. AOY 2006= 50 of 106 2007= 59 of 108 2008 = 48 of 109 2009 = 44 of 100 2010 = 65 of 93 2011 = 97 of 99 Only cashed one $10K check in 2011 and 2 in 2010. It’s pretty much impossible to make it cashing $10k checks 50% of the time unless you have solid sponsorship or you can afford to lose money. Not many jobs where you can pay to go to work and risk making nothing and get your head beat in then get the privilege of starting fresh next year and do it all again.

His wife is a lawyer, he’s not worried about money. But he won’t be on the elites long only making 2 cuts per year.
