I've had Lowrance FFS for two years now and starting to get better with it.
Yeah, it takes an old dog a bit longer to learn the video game stuff than it takes the young guns.

This summer I've had several occasions when I've been catching fish from a school 40' to 60' from me (on spot lock) when i notice
a "target" directly below the boat. I drop the shaky head straight down beside the TM and BANG, three or four pound fish!!
This has been in water as shallow as 10' and up to 16' deep.

My assumption is that I get followers after making several casts and also get some followers when I real in a fish.
I guess they just decide to sit down directly under the boat!?

Lesson to me:
1. Always make a few drops right beside the boat before pulling up the TM and heading to the next spot.
2. A fish 10' directly under the TM will still bite.

Anyone else have this happen? Often? Rarely?

The stuff you can learn from FFS is amazing. Since I have had it my whole perception of what goes on under water has changed. It has been alot of fun. However I have caught so many fish in the last year because of it, that I am almost tired of catching them.

Sometimes I just watch the fish behavior its fascinating to me anyway.

I just got it as well, haven’t used it yet, but I’m actually very intrigued to learn more about their behavior too. Catching more won’t hurt though lol
