Skinny Striper from PK lake
[Linked Image]

Not much meat on them
[Linked Image]

I see this as a direct result of the February 2021 freeze that killed off the threadfin shad downlake. Still a good population up lake but next to none downlake.
Before the freeze, I would see huge shad balls in Neely Slough when the wind died down in the evening. Now, there are none. Can't even find them with a throw net. Even the large mouth bass I'm catching are skinny.

Anyone else seeing this?

John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.

Haven't fished PK since April of this year ! Don't like what I'm hearing and seeing. Cold weather will force shad and fish to gather. Should find out more then .
