Hey y'all,
I've been fishing Stillhouse Hollow for white bass and doing quite well using MAL heavy lures in 30-40 foot of water.

Sometime I've found very interesting is how the white bass are hard to find in the day's first hour of light, as in between 6:30AM-7:30AM .I could never find the schools of whites in the 30-40 fow sweet spot until after around 7:30. After 7:30 it becomes quite easy. Does this happen to anyone else?

Also, I noticed that fishing in the morning is significant better than the evening during summer, even when compared to the the hours around sunset. I could catch dozens of fish in the morning, come back to the same areas in the late afternoon and be catch no fish. I would still be able to find the schools of fish on my livescope, and the school would not be moving at all and have absolutely no interest in my lure. Really interesting...

Lastly, I'm wondering if the same tactics of "smoking" spinners in 30-40 fow(right above line) can carry over to other lakes. Would it work on Lake Buchanan for stripers/hybrids? I'm ready to catch some bigger fish now grin

I appreciate any input. Thanks!
