I am going to go camping there later this summer and I want to know where to go. I am probably going to canoe fish there and would love some tips!

Nice that you won't have to deal with lake lice....I'm just waiting for the water to lighten up. Last I was there recently--tyhe water looked thicker than chocolate milk and stunk.

Ok ringo anyboddy that fishes MW often knows about the crappie out there.I call it the 10 to 1 lake that is youll throw back 10 before you catch a keeper. But that is ok still fun.I was just out there last weekend and its still a little stained. We still caught about 18 keepers the first day and about 19 the second. One tip fish early morning when the sun comes up to about noon. Late in the evening is only fair on the dock.

We went there in the spring and tore them up and thats what we got except it was about 20 to 1. Minnows or jigs?

Ringo - I roomed with a guy named Ringo in college who just happened to be from the great city of Weatherford. He spent a lot of time in "Miserable Gulch" as well. Never fished with him, though. Was wondering if you might be him or know where he is now.
