Exactly. We're getting the same thing here. Last week we were supposed to have cooler temperatures and a 30% chance of rain starting today. Now we're going to be 102-104 all week with a 20% chance of rain next Sunday.

The high pressure dome is frustrating. How can it remain intact, with only slight wobbles to the east and west, for months on end? Can you imagine if a low pressure system stayed over us for two months in the winter, with snow almost every day?

We live in hell.

Agree, but there are usually a few days a month we get some rain. It has for sure been at least 30 days since our last rain in Conroe- and I'm thinking it has actually been closer to 60 days.

I realize that. I'm talking about the stagnant upper air pattern in which one lone high pressure system holds together and basically stays in place over us for months on end. There haven't been any troughs or lows or anything to break it up or at least push it away. We haven't had measurable rain at my house since June and we don't have any in the forecast for the foreseeable future.

We live in hell.

As someone who grew up in the frozen hell of Indiana's winters, try moving up there if you want to really experience hell. At least down here we can go outside after dark. From December until the beginnings of March you're cooped up inside the entire time when you are fighting the snow and ice to drive to work.

My Son moved to Indiana to go to college. He is making fun of us because the high temp has been 85 and we are 105. I told him just wait a couple of months when I am fishing during the winter and you have to cut a hole to fish.

For any who are too hot, I heard the weather is pretty nice in Cali, there ought to be quite a few homes available to buy out there...

See you on the lake and have a great day!

Someone that's cool may have installed a Race Car Driver Cooling System in their boat and invested in a good Chill Suit. They might even be out there all day in their wide brim hat catching fish when no one else is. Just a thought........

Or wading. It's not quite as bad if you're IN the water, wearing a wide-brimmed hat, and a quick-drying long sleeved shirt that you can splash water on to cool down a little. That being said, the water is like 91 degrees, so it's not exactly refreshing this time of year...

I guess it's just a matter of preference. I like snow and cold weather. I have more energy when it's cold, plus I can dress to stay warm enough. Even getting naked wouldn't do me any good when it's hot, in fact I would get an unfortunate sunburn.

This has been a year like 1980. It was the worse year for me as I was working in a cabinet shop with no air no vents . I thought I was going to die . Thank God I am retired now so I do not have to do that anymore . It really bothers me that it is to hot to fish though ! come on winter!
