The steam engine was a big one as well. Not much you can't do with steam if you put your mind to it. The Panama Canal was dug with steam shovels.

Paint, Yes Paint. If roads didn't have stripes painted on them there would be 10 times as many wrecks as there are now.

Faith, love, and forgiveness. But I believe these existed before human beings, and to some degree in other living things.

people who think tricked up 223's are AR 15s LOL, how are they not? Are you trying to say that 5.56X45mm NATO is the only legit AR-15? only Armalite Nope. Colt made AR-15 rifles since they bought the IP/TDP from ArmaLite and they were marked as such on the receiver. Do you also correct the internet when someone says Kleenex instead of tissue, Chapstick instead of lip balm, Popsicle instead of frozen pop on a stick, Band-Aid instead of self-adhesive bandage, Post-It Note instead of adhesive paper squares, Q-tip instead of cotton swab, etc? ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2023/08/full-84227-193189-colt_ar15.jpg) AR-15 is the commonly accepted generic term for any AR-15 pattern rifle, Karen.

Didn't read the whole thread but I'll go with defying the all-knowing and all-powerful Church and saying that the Earth and other planets revolved around the sun rather than them all revolving around the Earth. It really helped solidify a lot of ideas and theories that had been around a long time prior.

The Catholic Church didn’t fully recognize this until 1992.

[/quote] you have a lot of time on your hands DF so is it an M16 A or Armalite ? Says both & as you point out the term is generic that doesn't make it correct
