I find this hilarious- Article about man stuck in his Tesla for 20 minutes due to 12V battery failing.

"I couldn't open the doors. I couldn't lower the windows. The computer was dead, so I couldn't open the glove box. I couldn't open anything." Meggison said his main lithium-ion battery, what's needed to propel his electric car, had plenty of range.

There is a emergency release that most owners are not aware of.

If only we had a dependable way of propelling vehicles, opening doors and windows, and getting into glove compartments that worked and had been in use for a century.

He was stupid or lying. There is door release cables between the seat and lower door jamb.

Makes for good entertainment reading dumb [censored] though. Especially for the gullible.

I’ll say this.

The farmers up north sure do love electric vehicles(trucks) and some even have electric $800,000 electric farming tractors. They have embraced it. They were everywhere, in the middle of nowhere. They weren’t locked inside their trucks and tractors. They weren’t dead on the side of the road. I saw more Rivian trucks than F-250s. They actually haul [censored] everyday too. They USE their trucks for work.

The Rivian is the fastest production truck. Way ahead of the Ford Lightning which is the second fastest production pickup truck.
I bought stock when it was 25 and it was dropping thinking that it was going to rebound. It did finally but I wish I had waited till it bottomed out.

A blonde, A brunette, and a red head are all riding in a car in the middle of the desert.

All of the sudden the car breaks down. So all three decide to take a piece of the car for survival in the desert.

As they're walking. A guy in a truck drives up and sees these three ladies carrying car parts. He stops and inquires.

He asks the brunette why she has a hubcap. "To use it to scoop water to drink".

Next he asks the red head why she has the rearview mirror. "To signal for help".

And last, he asks the blonde why she's carrying the entire car door...

"In case I got hot, I could roll the window down"

Do you want a truck or a race car? What good does a super fast vehicle do you in Metroplex traffic? I agree EV trucks are fast of the line, but I don't buy a truck so that I can street race on Saturday nights. That seems to be the justification for buying an EV truck, as in, wow man, it's really fast!

I'm retired and don't drive my truck much. Also fast is never one of my priorities.

As Steez pointed out, EV's are useful. They have some huge holes in them right now, mostly range and refueling time, but those will be solved in the not too distant future.
As to Metroplex traffic, an EV performs better in stop and go than their fossil fuel counterparts. Their regenerative properties allow them to travel farther, not shorter, when they stop and go unlike ICE's.

Oh Yeah?

Here's an Aggie joke, I'm sure you've heard.

A truck flies off a cliff into a lake with two Longhorns up front and two Aggies in the back. The two Longhorns, open the doors and swim to safety. The two Aggies in the truck bed drown to death. They couldn't figure how to open the tailgate.

Here's an Aggie joke.

At the annual Texas-Aggie football game a Longhorn fan used the potty.
As he finished he turned and started walking out, when he heard an Aggie. The Aggie said, "At college station we learned to wash our hands after we ****". To that the Longhorn said "In Austin we learn not to **** on our hands".
