I noticed that Facebook has really been advertising these Obalus Reels. FB claims no Back Lash. Has anyone actually tried one? Currently I am a Curado DC User and 99% happy with it.

Never heard of them. Looked at their website. Just my opinion but I seriously doubt they would compare with a Shimano.

I agree, your going to be hard pressed to find a reel better than the Shimano.

I have got one like the one pictured. My wife bought it for me. It will backlash just like any other bait cast reel. But for an inexpensive reel it isn't bad. I have also used that Shimano 150 Curado DC. You get what you pay for.JMO.

This is why I never buy anything off Facebook. If these Reels were even slightly good someone here would have at least heard of them. If George says it doesn't backlash then it must be true

If George says it doesn't backlash then it must be true I like the fact that George is using a Left Hand Reel and casting with his Left. I am Right Handed and cast with my Right, but I reel with my Left. I never could understand why so many people cast with their Right then change hands and reel with the Right. These same people will use a Spinning Reel and reel with the Left. I bought a supposedly Shimano DC from Facebook and approximately two months later it came in. It was not a DC or a Shimmano. I was given the option to send it back but shipping was more than the Reel.
