Reposting as that last thread went off the rails.
. I know only a few around as of yet…
Any input from anyone that has or is in direct contact with one that has real experience in, on or around the iKON ? Thoughts on Fit and finish? Thoughts on Good or bad options or stock as built items such as…….. chill plate? Suspension seats? Raised rails around lids? Double deck box storage in center box, The extra trailer lighting? On any Other options they offer???
I will take what I get this time. Thank you for your comments.

When comparing bass boats, I always wanted to look at them myself at a dealer or boat show and compare the things that were important to me. I ignore comments from others related to looks of boat or colors. Those things are subjective and only personal opinions. Drive to your closest dealerships and look at the boats you are considering. You should be able to decide yourself based on your past boat ownership experience, your budget, and the wow feeling you get from one or two and then you will know. NOTE: In my opinion, a good local dealer is important regardless of which boat you decide on.

Call Billy Sartin at Lake Fork and tell him I sent you. If he has one he'll let you test drive it or put you in contact with the person he has sold to. Billy & his brother are great people.

He sells Falcon, Bullet, and iKon so you can compare them side by side. The Falcon TE 21 is also a very nice rig.

Kyle Hall in Granbury just got his new iKon. Call Tri-Lakes Tackle and ask for him. He and his parents own Tri-Lakes. I think there is a dealer over there too. It may be a little challenging to find many to look at. There are probably less than six in TX at this point. My guess is that it will be the Bentley of the lake. Not the fastest but highly likely it will be the finest bass rig ever made. That boat has excellent DNA and I would not be hesitant to buy one at all.

I like their marketing strategy. They debuted with the top of the line boat first. I can think of at least 6 brands that will exceed $120K if loaded up now days. iKon said they will introduce lower cost rigs in the future but they didn't want to come to market with those first.

Reminds me of Porsche. For many years the only model they made was the 911 and it was a car for doctors and wealthy businessmen. Then they introduced the Boxster for about 2/3 the price and all of a sudden you started seeing Porsche's all over.

I like their marketing approach, too. Sounds like they have done thorough research on what bass fishermen want in a rig with exception of speed. Speed kills, anyways. Somebody has to be the high price leader. Their target market is geared toward a very small audience. Prolly just what they want. I believe all boat mfg's have surpassed the mass producing boats from the past, no matter what brand you buy. Expect higher than normal prices and higher than normal interest rates...not to change anytime soon, either.

All I know is, after seeing one, I'd 10000% buy if I had the money. I absolutely love everything about that rig and I don't even like 21' boats.

At the risk of incurring the wrath of the TFF iKon posse…lol.

I recently went and took a look. Here are a few thoughts.

2024 LX21 Hull number 51.

Impressive build on these rigs. Rigging compartment and wiring blew me away, looks like multi hundred thousand dollar off shore boats. Clean and neat…everything easily accessible. No stuffing a generic wiring harness in a giant mess and letting the wires just hang around wherever. Mounting your electronics will be as simple as connecting to boats wiring system. The touch pad is super cool…functions as smoothly as any Apple product I’ve ever used. Center storage…just insane, with the sliding mechanism..can’t even count how many planos would go in there, also a bunch of dry storage forward of the tackle system. Port side rod storage…multi ledge type goes super far up in the hull. No stupid racks or tubes…looks like easy 30 rods could go in there. Starboard side locker for whatever else you carry. Seats were very comfortable. Huge cooler that looked double walled. Pressurized live well with compressor and chiller plate…supposedly can lower live well temp 1.5 degrees per hour. Looked over the hull as well I could…I’d rank it right up there with the Bullet hulls for perfection out of the mold…always thought the Bullets looked amazing on hull/Gel build quality.

Boatmate Trailer…fully sprayed with some sort of protective coating. Not a channel trailer though…won’t last forever I imagine.
They called the extra lighting on the top forward rails of trailer “runway lighting”. A series of LED’s along those rails.

Overall very nice rig with a very premium price. 20 and 19 footers are in the plans.

The white one was being rigged and was sold.

Chuck Pippen is a marketing rep for IKON Boats. He can definitely answer any questions you have. I fished with him several weeks ago at Lake Toho and I was impressed with his boat and would definitely consider buying one if I was in the market for a new boat. Lot of thought was put into building these boats. I have his contact info if you need it. Just send me a PM and I’ll send it to you.

Hard to believe they mounted what seems to be such a prize on a BOATMATE trailer.
All my Allisons have come on a boatmate---- and every time I swore never again.
I did get a channel frame this time instead of a tube. flush

I haven't really looked at these boats yet but right out of the gate the average joe is not going to be their target audience, already hearing what the price tag will be.
I just got back from fishing on the Alabama coast and the boats down there give me a different perspective on what we spend for boats here in North Texas and surrounding areas. There are lots of boats down there that just the motors hanging off the back of them would cost more; and some a lot more, than what we spend for a bass boat. We run around in our what we call an expensive bass boat but you go down to the coast and see what some of those guys are running, it will humble you QUICK.

When we left Alabama they were gearing up for a bill fish tournament along that area of the coast. Most of the boats that do that are in the seven-figure range dollar wise and diesel powered. There were a few that towed in their rigs and I would imagine just the few I saw cost over $500k each.........

The majority of those boats competing in those kind of events are $2M+ boats. I would not think anything is in the $500K range anymore. Off shore tourneys are not blue collar events
