I was able to get one last trip in before I have to head back to School. I fished until about noon when the wind died down a little and it got toasty.

I didn’t see many fish on SI all day. I found one small school and fished a spot that I’ve been catching them regularly. I was mostly fishing “blind” with not much on the 2D or SI. I got one hybrid and one white bass on the silver HEYbud. Then I switched to a chartreuse HEYbud and caught two more white bass right away. Followed that up with a hybrid and this beauty of a Saugeye. Finished the day with 7 Whites, 2 Hybrid, 1 Saugeye. All caught in 18’-22’ of water on a middle of the lake drop off near the main creek channel.

Nice one. The heat can be brutal this time of year.

Haha! I couldn’t see my own ruler. This is an off brand Sea Dek one I got on Amazon for less than half the cost of the Sea Dek one. I installed it today.

Very Nice fish. I spoke with TPWD about getting Saugeye stocked at PK but they told me it would never happen, as they do not raise them here in TX. What a shame as they are a great eating fish.

The heat now is very intense especially after noon. I am exclusively fishing at night now.

John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.
