We stay a few weeks at a time when we go. We try to go a couple of times a year. Take the charter boat out to the Farallon Islands and watch shark week up close and personal in real life. It's only like $100 a person for the whole say.

Get up to Point Reyes if you can. It's beautiful up there. The tule elk that free range on tgmhe working ranches along the Point Reyes National Seashore are cool to watch.

Tahoe is incredible as well.

Ana Maria Island FL. It is isolated from the throngs of tourist that tend to ruin my vacations, great food unbeatable scenery and the locals are friendly.

Smoky Mountains, Blue Ridge Mountains. Western North Carolina, Eastern Tennessee. In the late Spring, stay at the old home place, catch trout in Otter Creek that runs through our property, walleye fishing in Lake Nantahala and laying out on the big ol' flat rock across the creek to star gaze.

Reality. What a concept!
