Going to be in Port A the first week of August. Looking for a charter for 4-6 people, either in or off shore. All recommendations appreciated. Our preference would be to take all 6 of us out, but a couple of the girls would be OK staying on the beach of it makes financial sense. Looking for a meat haul over sport.

If you are just looking for a meat haul then you could just do a head boat out of dolphindocks. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2023/07/full-107020-191339-img_2136.jpeg)

Hard to get a meat haul inshore with the limits of trout and reds at 3 per person. You can catch some black drum which eat just as well but are harder to clean. They are fun to catch when you get on a school of them especially when they get up on the sand flats. A decent percent of guides pushing catch and releases as part of the recovery from the freeze. August is hot, fishing typically slower. A good guide will still catch them a decent amount of time,
Colton Blackwell is a great inshore guide I use down there. Inshore is limited to about 4 persons per boat. About $600 to $750 a day depending on the guide.
