Noticed water running out of engine compartment. Took the cover off and found water coming from back top of the engine. The area under the drive gear. Help anyone?

Looks like it’s coming from a gasket. It’s hard to see

My leak in the same area was the white tube that runs to the water pressure gauge. I suggest backing it down a NON BUSY ramp, remove the cowling and start the motor to see where the leak is coming from. May take a minute for the thermostats to open. water under the hood gets sucked into the intake and is not good on pistons or engine performance.

No over heat alarm but on a prior trip the engine was running a little rough at low RPMs thought that it was the 02 sensor. I took it one it fouled with carbon. Looked almost like melted plastic. Cleaned it best I could. Seemed to run better. On the next trip I noticed the water. It’s hard to see down here n there were the water is running from

I just bought a 87 395 ranger with a 225 Yamaha excel the motor has 175 hour on it and looks brand new under the cowl but it has been setting for 16 years in a shop under a custom cover my question is there a small white hose it come from dash going into the motor and it is broke just before it go into the motor. Would that be difficult to change out The boat still looks great but my mechanic is going to go through it to make sure everything going to work before putting it back on the water. All fluids and impeller new plugs inspect and replace oil injection with new oil rebuild carbs if needed new gas.

Get rid of it before it blows up like my 250 HPDI did. And yes I maintained it religiously.

IT’s coming from the top of a plate between the heads. I think that it’s the exhaust cover. Has anyone had this issue?
