One and the same. Garmin Live Scope leads the field in my opinion.

O K, I though that but was not sure. I can only imagine what they will be able to do 5 years from now, like all electronic items. If I was not at the end of my fishing days I would think about investing in one.

It's not sad, it is just practical. I know what the fellow means. He does not want to spend money and time trying to master a new technology, and technique with the limited days he has left on the water. Just being real.. Kind of wise to me. so many have forgotten to just fish and have fun with out staring at the screens all day..

Yep, I'm 60 and just got livescope last year, also using spot lock, and making way points. Never to late to learn. I do suggest using a fishing guide first before you invest.

I am 76, right now do to the drought all the ramps on my side of Lake Waco are closed so I must drive around town to the west side of the lake just launch that's a 45 min trip in it self. I don't have any one to fish with me any more so I am always by myself. I still enjoy fishing but not like i did. back when I was in my 60s I felt like I was still able to do anything but in the last 3 years my body has it's limits, You guys will understand when you get older. An other faster is that I am on a fixed budget and 2 to 3 thousand dollars is hard to came by.

This is what I was referring to when I sad it was sad. I was not implying anything negative at all towards Harvey, I was actually sympathizing and reflecting on my own limitations. UNfortunately due to my own physical issues that "end" will be here for me sooner and at a younger age than most. When Harvey says "I still enjoy fishing but not like i did" I can relate and take that to mean the reason it is not as enjoyable as days gone by is brcause it hurts more to launch and retrieve he boat, I am out of breath too easily, I can't run to twenty different spots in a day because I can't move around in the boat like I used to, my hands and wrists get numb and sore and swollen just like my feet. The reason we don'y want yo die fellas has nothing to do with fear, but rather the joy of living, and that joy is tempered by physical and mental ailments. So in short, as my dad would say, getting old is not for kitty kats.

For most the older you get the less mad at them you are. These days I am fair weather for sure. I don’t have the desire to fish tournaments any more beyond occasional Sunday Morning and only did a couple of those in the last year.

Planning to get more in this fall once it cools. Work also gets in the way a little. Definitely need to stop that.

In my 20’s we pretty much went where ever and through whatever we thought would catch them. I was a lot better at fishing then. When you are fishing with your lunch money for that week you tend to lay it all out there. As I made more money over years my tournament fishing effort went downhill. I could have any bass boat I want with anything on it I want. We caught more out of that old 17ft Dynatrack with an old 115 Johnson on it. Of course we also fished no less than 2 times a week, some times more. Rarely did we end up giving up the lunch money. When you did they had the 99 Whopper. Bring your own drink.

Seeing what my dad is going through at 86 my fear isn’t dying. It’s living longer than decent health. Only so many years left. Turned 60 last December.

Who every came up the saying GOLDEN AGE must have been a young guy, there is nothing about getting old that's golden. I glad to hear that I am not along in the way I have change the way I think about bass fishing. Not to be nasty, fishing is like sex to me now, when I get it to do it, it still enjoyable but I don't get to do it as often as I like. I know all you young guys are LO L but your time is coming.

I certainly understand what you're saying. It took me a long time to accept I couldn't do all the things I did easily 20 years ago. I do have a new Garmin livescope. I'm not very high tech but it is easy to operate and it certainly helps finding fish. If you can get one do so and I think you will enjoy it.

If and when our lake come back to normal pool and i have save up the funds by then, I just might invest in one.
