I recently had a hard time trying to find a place to work on my 2015 Evinrude E-TEC 150. Just wanted routine maintenance... replace plugs, filters, impeller kit, lower unit lube. After several weeks of not getting responses or being told we no longer service Evinrudes, I gave up and found some YouTube videos and did it myself. But for future reference, for other problems that I might encounter, can anyone recommend a place somewhere close to Rowlett (east side of Dallas) that is responsive and willing to work on Evinrudes?

I do feel bad for the people that bought one thinking it was going to be a long term purchase. Instead just another reason to hate on Canadians.

Yes, you let the French Canadians and then some of the good ol'e buddy net work, that would screw up a rock fight... I worked for OMC and then BRP when they bought Johnson and Evinrude. That DI technology OMC bought from Germany was solid technology guys and the good ol'e buddy net work and the French Canadians just flat screwed that all up...
I ID'd so many different things that were little machining issues that was being allowed to happen that they could have stopped right then, and they just told me it's just not that simple. Unreal if you ask me, as that technology is solid and does run really well.
All those good ol'e boys sure got it fixed up now.

check with tommy yetts at rockwall marine and sartin marine in yantis.
sartin has been top notch and worked on my fast strike 175 when I had it.

First time I talked to Hayden about servicing my Etec 150 was 4/24/23 and again on 5/15/23. Hayden just called me back today, 8/3/23. Y'all do indeed have a long waiting list, but would have been nice to get a few more updates about how long the list was. Thanks anyway!
